NORTHERN CIRCUIT OF PERU

AND CHACHAPOYAS TOURS

WELCOME TO OUR LOST WORLD

If we think about Perú comes to our minds Machupicchu; that is one of the Wonderful places to visit in the World, and we agree. But, if you are in Perú, do not forget the secrets of the north as an alternative to know beautiful places with few tourists.

So, after or before your visit in the South (Nazca Lines, Santa Catalina Convent, Juanita Mummie, Colca Canyon, Machupicchu, Choquequirao, Sacred Valley, Titicaca Lake, Manu expeditions) you are welcome to visit the north of Peru with us.

In the north of Lima we have the third Oldest Civilization in the World that is called Caral.

Going forward in the Casma Valley we can visit the Sechin Culture with their ancient monoliths.

If you want a little bit of Ice we can continue to Huaraz where is possible to see the black Cordillera and the White Cordillera with a Ceremonial ancient place called Chavin de Huantar.

Going back to the north coast we will know the most artistics expressions in the Moche Route, and archaeological places older than the Incans; as Huaca of the Sun and the Moon, Huaca Arcoiris, San Jose de Moro, Lady of Cao and the oldest city made of mud built by the Chimus that is called Chan Chan.

In Lambayeque Department is possible to visit the Royal Tombs of the Lord of Sipan with all the Gold and Silver collection, Huaca Rajada. Tucume (the valley of 26 pyramids) and Chaparri where appears the Andean Bear and wild animals in their natural habitats.

Also, if you are looking for beautiful beaches come with us to Piura and Tumbes regions where the weather is hot and sunny all year.

Then to continue with the adventure go with us to the Lost City of the chachapoyans or Shashapuyos where is Kuelap, and a beautil scenery with orquids, hummingbirds and bromeliads. And then, the jungle of Tarapoto or Iquitos where we can navigate on the Marañon River, and see the pink dolphins and pirañas.

Kuelap, The Machu Picchu of Northern Peru

This fortress is the largest stone structure of South America. It contains more than 450 stone houses. It is located on a mountain higher than Machu Picchu, is much older than the Inca Empire. This Machu Picchu of the North was found in better condition than the one in the South. The Kuelap complex remains relatively unknown in this remote zone, which only thirty years ago took two months to walk out to from the nearest road. The fortress is filled with a million air plants, bromeliads and orchids, high on a mountain top, in this mysterious cloud forest.

Fifteen years ago, the Gene Savoy expedition claimed discovery of thousands of stone structures in this valley called "Gran Vilaya". Today adventure tours as well as group tours can access Chachapoyas by airplane or road and stay in new, modern facilities. This is the land of eternal spring and mountain freshness, in a remote pristine zone better than Yellowstone! It offers the best in white water, bicycling, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, trekking, mountaineering, exploring, horseback, birding and cultural experiences in the friendliest zone in Peru.
