Day 1 Chachapoyas

Road trip on asphalt road
to Chiclayo, stopping to see Tucume, the most ancient pyramid complex where
explorer Thor Heyerdahl spent his final years researching the “trans-Pacific
Crossing” of all the legends about the founding of the spectacular Moche
Culture. Night in 3 star hotel in Chiclayo. (L, D)
Day 2 Chiclayo
City tour, visit Sipan,
where America’s richest gold-filled tomb is located in a pyramid. This
complex has many royal tombs that are still being excavated today. Afternoon
we see the museum where most all of these gold treasures are found, if
time allows we will visit Pimentel Beach (reed boats on the Pacific
Coast). Night in 3 stars hotel in Chiclayo. (B, L, D)
Day 3 Trujillo
Continue our trip down the
coast to Trujillo. Located here is Chan Chan, the largest city ever discovered
by Europeans in the Americas. Explore this city made up of high adobe
walled blocks containing parade grounds, storage buildings and administration
of the Chimu Royal Culture. Trujillo also has the largest pyramid of Peru,
and on its coast there are reed-fishing boats, unchanged since ancient
times. If time allows we also see Huaca Dragon, site museum.
Night in Huanchaco beach in, 3 stars hotel. (B, L, D)
