PACHACAMAC, LIMA
Pachacamac is an ancient city in the southeast of Lima (36 km). This archaeological complex overlooks the San Pedro beach and had at least one pyramid, cemetery by the Early Intermediate period. The Huari probably used this city as an administrative center.

During the Inca Times believers from all over the empire flocked here to consult the deity about their future, as the idol also served as an oracle. They left offerings before the mighty lord of the earthquakes, creator of time and space.
